Wonderful is His Name

Really -- His Name is "Wonderful" by Dr. Kluane Spake

Are there apostles today?Where do they get the authority to be apostles? The answer is everywhere in Scriptures. YES. Jesus gives us HIs authority. He embodied all the gifts and administrations.

I wrote a book about Apostolic Authority that is available on my website www.kluane.org/store. This book talks a lot about government.But this verse isn't in it.  

We have a Christmas ornament with Is. 9:6 written on a scroll. Every year the kids and I quote it while we put it on the tree.But... this verse is not just for Christmas time. It's for everyday. It gives us a glimpse of some of the qualities of Jesus that He has given us. REMEMBER... He gives us HIs name and His authority - already! It is ours NOW! 

Let's look again at Isaiah 9:6 - this is an amazing verse written 770 years before the birth of Jesus. It is good to break it down for greater understanding.

Isaiah spoke of Jesus both as a child and a grown son. First and second coming.

For unto us a child is born, a son is given -- and the government will rest on His shoulders; And His NAME is called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

These words are interesting to study.

The Hebrew word for SON = Ben which means grown up INHERITOR, (our Messianic Savior). GOVERNMENT (misrah fe) = means RESPONSIBILITY, DOMINION RULE, GOVERNMENT. These governmental aspects Jesus gives to us.

AND HIS NAME = This is all about IDENTITY, reputation, fame, glory, Name (as a memorial). The amazing thing about this verse is that while studying it, the Lord stirred my heart -- "Put a comma after Wonderful. Wonderful is a noun not an adjective." My NAME is WONDERFUL!"

Other Bible translations bear this out using this word as both an adjective and a noun. The name of our Lord God is an incomparable and unique NAME!

Wonderful is His name.

WONDERFUL = this is the identical same word translated as "SUPERNATURAL" (in Judg. 13:18). It means: amazing, a wonder, absolutely extraordinary, marvelous, wondrous, wonders, and astonishing.

COUNSELOR = This word means that the Lord is an extraordinary strategist. He brings words of eternal life with perfect wisdom. God is our adviser, wise planner, great leader, and consult, He is our deliberator and the One who devises the plan of the ages and guides us to a purpose.

MIGHTY GOD = (Gn. 2:4, Dt. 10:17, Is. 10:21) He is our Victorious Father of Eternity. "Mighty God" is equivalent to "Immanu-el" (used in Isa 7:14). rwbg gibbowr.

Mighty is both an adjective and noun masculine meaning chief warrior, champion, strongest, soldier, champion, wealth, valiant, powerful, mightiest, skilled, prominent, hero, upright, and in charge.

GOD= el EVERLASTING = meaning forever, perpetuity, our continuing future without end. God the Son has total control over all eternity.

FATHER = He is our father, the head and founder of the household of faith - the family of God ... He is the originator and benevolent protector.

PRINCE = This word is reallly interesting -- it is the Hebrew word for prince (Sar - from which the word Tzar came from). This word has many leadership definitions: commander, captain, chief, ruler, keeper, governor, and overseer.

PEACE - means not the absense of worry - but WHOLENESS, PROSPERITY, and REST from stress and strife.

This Wonderful Jesus is our extraordinary military minded Prince and Counselor Who gives believers His dominion rule and He gives us HIs governmental ability to create safe socio-economic family environment.

When His peace comes into our lives, there is no question ... He is in us!

AND of THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT (AND PEACE) THERE WILL BE NO END (Is. 9:7).
